About Me
I'm a 26-year-old living in Austin. I’m from ATL, but went to the UCF for college. I moved to Austin right after graduation (before the big covid boom, that’s gotta count for something, right?!)
I have always had a camera in my hand growing up whether it was filming lip dubs at sleepovers or taking photos at school events for yearbook. My passion grew stronger when my sorority sisters started asking me to take their grad photos and the rest is history!
Timeline of Sonali Productions
2013- I stole my dad’s Nikon and created my first YouTube video
2014- I got my very first Cannon DSLR and invested in my first prime lens
2015- I took my friends’ senior photos for the yearbook
2015- I moved to Orlando to go to UCF, I rushed and went KD! Soon after, I started helping the PR team with our social media and taking photos at events.
2017- A video I filmed for my sorority made it on College Weekly! I also started to photograph graduates all around campus.
2018- I interned for the UCF Social Media team where I not only planned and executed content that would go on their social media pages, but I was also in front of the camera working as a host.
2019- I graduated from UCF and moved to Austin with no job! I started networking through Facebook groups and dabbled in the wedding industry for a few months until I realized that it wasn’t what I wanted to focus on.
2020- An opportunity to become a traveling content creator for a Student Housing Company, Landmark Properties, fell into my lap. Right as I was getting my name out in Austin and getting ready to travel to properties, Covid hit. I focused on growing my social platforms, enjoying the outdoors and I might have downloaded an app called “TikTok”...
2021- My hair got lighter and unfortunately so did the workload, but I was still grateful for the opportunities I was able to get like shooting the cover photo for Jenna Palek’s Fun on Weekdays Podcast!
2022- Was an absolute dream. Sonali Productions hit a record number of bookings.
